My Story

sitting.JPG

It was 2009 and my parents attended my elementary school parent-teacher conference when my teacher said, "Ilana is my most talkative student! Not only does she chat with her friends and neighbors in class, she asks more questions than any other child.” When my parents told me, my first thought was that I did something wrong. Actually, they said,

“This is a gift.”

My entire life I have been able to communicate with everyone: old, young, my peers, coaches, teachers, employers, the list goes on. I can understand and empathize with my audience effortlessly.

Thus far, I have been able to utilize my natural abilities to excel in school, team sports, and employment. Currently, studying sports journalism and mass communication I have learned that communication is not only a science that has been studied and practiced but simply an art and sharing of knowledge.

Throughout my life, I have utilized my natural communication skills to make an impact on the conversation. I have a passion for conveying my personality to individuals and organizations with varying cultures to gather diverse perspectives on beneficial concepts that will help others. One of the most fascinating aspects of being a good communicator is the ability to listen, hear, and understand others’ perspectives. I am extremely appreciative of the relationships I have established but also continue to develop throughout my career!

When I am not working you can find me in the gym lifting, in a yoga class, or in a "party on a bike" cycling class. Being an athlete my whole life I love to play basketball, pickleball, or even coach future generations how to play the sports I love. I also enjoy testing my creativity in cooking and baking, making and trying new recipes to share with my friends and family.
